I've been meaning to give y'all the dl on upcoming album "Rising Down" from The Roots, and looks like today's the perfect day to do so. After yet another critically acclaimed album "Game Theory" in 2006, the legendary crew is back and putting the finishing touches on their 10th studio album. Although their last album was unusually dark for the group, "Rising Down" will be on a bit of a lighter note, yet still tackle it's fair share of pertinent social and political issues in our country. Currently scheduled for a April 29th release date, Black Thought & ?uestlove recently sat down with EW.com and gave them a track by track preview of the LP. Luckily for us, EW did an extensive write-up and review on each track and just posted it online. As usual, there will be a pretty impressive lineup of guests on the album including: Malik B, Styles P, Saigon, Wale, Lupe Fiasco, Q-Tip, DJ Jazzy Jeff as well Dice Raw, Mos Def, Common, & Talib Kweli. Just today, the first track from the LP leaked called "Black's Reconstruction" which is in the same vein as "Web" + "Thought @ Work" as it features 75 bars of Black Thought straight...uhh...blacking out.
