-> Entertainers Named In New Steroid Investigation
A big story is shaking the entertainment world this morning as some prominent names in hip-hop have appeared in an investigation by the Albany, New York district attorney's office detailing an illegal steroid and human growth hormone ring. Of the thousands named in the report, some huge names in music stuck out including super-producer Timbaland, rapper 50 Cent, as well as Mary J. Blige, Wyclef Jean, and even producer/actor/director Tyler Perry. All involved have allegedly received multiple shipments of HGH and other steroids to their residences over the course of the past several years. The probe is the most recent in a long string of crackdowns on doctors who are illegally prescribing the drugs along with the shady clinics and websites who are supplying them. Although the recent crackdown in professional sports has threatened athletes with potentially jail time, these most recent allegations will not threaten any of the involved artists because the substances obtained are not illegal. Prosecutors have stressed that the focus of the Albany investigation is aimed at the doctors, pharmacies, and websites who are breaking the law. However, the artists named are certainly going to be expected to speak on the allegations, which could be a PR fiasco in the making.
Let's be honest here...no one should be shocked about Timbaland & 50 Cent being named considering how freakishly jacked up they are, especially Timbo, who was a flabby fat mess up until only 2 or 3 years ago. People have pretty much known and accepted it. I'm surprised more of Aftermath roster wasn't named too we all know Dr. Dre and Busta Rhymes are also eating that "special spinach". Even Wyclef is understandable, I remember seeing dude with his shirt off recently and wondering when the hell he became so big (no homo). But I'm still tryin to figure out how Ms. MJB & Tyler Perry popped up though? Oh well...at the end of the day I don't give a fuck what they wanna do to their bodies. To me, it's no different than getting plastic surgery or breast implants...they are gonna be the ones paying the consequence in the long-run and it doesn't have anything to do with their line of work. No one's going to stop listening to 50 Cent just because they found out he's on HGH..."YO FUCK FITTY...HE'S CHEATIN! HOW COULD HE DO THAT TO HIS FANS B?" hahaha anyway I'll bring you more info when it becomes available, I'm expecting some sort of press releases or statements from most of these guys within the next 24.

-> GAME WORKING WITH DR. DRE ON NEW ALBUM
The Game just announced at a concert that he's begun working on a new concept album titled "LAX". Game also revealed that he's patched things up with Dr. Dre, and he will be producing multiple tracks on the album. However, I'm pretty sure there never was a falling out between the two, and Dre likely co-produced many tracks and mixed most of his last album on the low low to avoid any drama. Anyway, the concept album is supposed to focus on a day in the life of Game, each song covering his every move, ultimately ending with his death in the final track. In fact, the California rapper has said that the album will be his last, and his death at the end of the album will signify his decision to retire from rapping. Considering we're talking about Game...I'm not holding my breath, he's only two albums into his career, and is definitely using the "retirement card" ala Jay-Z/Mayweather/Jordan just to generate hype for the album, ultimately setting up a triumphant return a year or two later. Regardless of my prediction, I'm actually interested in hearing this album. He's improved dramatically since the beginning of his career, and has developed into a solid mainstream emcee. If only he could avoid overusing the corny "I feel like...insert legendary rapper here" smilies and the constant name dropping, he could very well put together a modern day classic. The album is tentatively scheduled to be released in June. I'll bring more info and music as soon as it's available.

-> TIFFANY "NEW YORK" POLLARD SEX TAPE??
Do you love New York? Well, earlier this weekend the always questionable source MediaTakeOut.com posted up a short tape that apparently involves the VH1 reality star Tiffany Pollard from the hit show "I Love New York" getting it on in a hotel room with an unknown man in Miami a few months back. It's unclear whether or not she knew whether or not she was aware that it was being taped, who the man is, and if it's even definitely her in the clip. After checking out the tape yesterday, it's a little grainy, but it certainly looks like it's her. I'd recognize that butt and "big ass tittays" (-Chappelle) anywhere. In fact...I'll let you take a look and decide for yourself. I don't think I really have to say this but just in case...the video is obviously not work safe, and is showing explicit, uncensored sex...for mature viewers only! Click here to check out the video for yourself and decide if it's her or not.

-> QUICK NEWS TIDBITS
-DJ Drama just revealed his upcoming projects for 2008 in an interview with Rhapsody that include Gangsta Grillz 18, as well as new tapes with Fabolous, BG, Clipse, Young Jeezy...plus the rumored and now confirmed "Dedication 3" with Lil' Wayne.
-Despite numerous reports and rumors, Soulja Boy just released an official statement via his MySpace page declaring that he has not inpregnated a 19 year old fan in Atlanta, and all rumors from BET and other news outlets claiming otherwise are in fact false. In another story, Soulja Boy has become the first artist ever to sell 3 million ringtones. He reached the landmark last week due to the popularity of his song "Crank Dat".
-Oh and just to clarify, the link to the "news" I threw up in yesterday's post regarding Lil Wayne & that kid from High School Musical Zac Efron collaborating was blatantly fake and satirical story created by a mock-news site, I just thought it was over the top and hysterical and decided to throw it in there.
