OK before I hit the bed for the night + begin my weekend of non-stop work...here's the new album from singer/songwriter The Dream entitled "Love/Hate". This is the dude that wrote the smash hit songs "Umbrella" for Rihanna & "Bed" for J. Holiday among many others over the past year or so. He recently hit the scene with a heater of his own, "Shawty Is Da Shit". I've been hearin' good things about the album, so yall R&B fans should give it a spin.
Also, I got a re-up of the albums that have been dominating the Digital Undaground poll on the right... Freeway's "Free At Last" and Wu-Tang's "The 8 Diagrams". I must confess, I haven't taken that Freeway joint out of my whip's CD deck too many times since I first got it. The gritty beats & rhymes make it the perfect soundtrack to set off the cold winter season. Shit...If you told me a few months ago that I'd be feelin "Free At Last" more than Beans, Ghostface, and Style's albums I probably woulda called you crazy...but dude definitely came through with some heatrock. Oh and in case you're still sleepin, I got the Wu's album too...and just a heads up, the version I'm putting up is better quality + is the OFFICIAL version that will be in stores, like I predicted when I first hit y'all with the link...the one that's been out on the 'net was not the final version.
