I just got some info on the anticipated upcoming album from the one and only DJ Drama. The joint will be hitting stores on December 4th, and is appropriately titled "Gangsta Grillz: The Album". Some of you may recall that this compilation was supposed to drop this past June, but as you know, Drama and his Aphilliates partner DJ Don Cannon were both arrested on January 17th and charged with racketeering because of their illegal sales of copywritten material on their mixtapes. Many considered this to be a bitch move by the RIAA who were looking to make an example out of the most visible and popular mixtape DJ at that time. Unfortunately for Drama, not only were 80,000 CDs confiscated in the raid, but the feds also jacked the discs that had all the Pro Tools sessions and finished tracks for the Gangsta Grillz album on 'em. So once Drama was released and got his legal situation squared away, he had to start the album again from scratch.

Flash forward to almost a full year later, and Drama has been quietly putting the finishing touches on the album preparing it for it's release in 3 weeks. As you can imagine, the album is packed with features including: Lil' Jon, Lil' Wayne, Jeezy, T.I., Rick Ross, Twista, Nelly, Diddy, Outkast, G-Unit, Jadakiss, + The Clipse...just to name a few. The two singles that have been released so far are "Feds Taking Pictures" and "5000 Ones" each track featured at least 15 artists. The production is handled mostly by Don Cannon along with contributions from: Jazze Pha, Drumma Boi, The Neptunes, Dame Grease, The Runners, Hi-Tek, Lil Jon, + many more.
