Keys To The Case

Producer 88-Keys has been in the game for a hot minute, but up until just recently, dude stuck mainly behind the boards and kept a very low profile. After putting in his work as an engineer and producer for the likes of Large Professor, Mos Def, Musiq, Kweli, Cons, and Kanye, dude began to expand his horizons and eventually eased his way into emceeing. What started as a hobby just to put some ideas and concepts behind his lush instrumentals, 88's skills evolved and he soon began to take things seriously. So serious that he opted to scrap his original idea to release "The Death Of Adam" as an instrumental LP and instead follow the advice from longtime friend Kanye West to add his own rhymes and drop it as a full-fledged solo rap album.

And the rest as they say, is ancient history. Once 88 began rolling with the idea, 'Ye even jumped on board as an executive producer and soon all the blogs took notice and the buzz began. Assisted by some interesting viral videos, celeb testimonials and press, there's been a bit of mystery surrounding the concept of the project and "The Death Of Adam" was finally unleashed in stores yesterday. I highly suggest y'all give it a spin and if you like what ya hear, go out and support the independent hustle.
