So apparently some sneaky ass dude was able to pull a straight jack-move and steal Rhymefest's personal iPod in broad daylight just a few weeks back. In addition to the 'pod being packed to the brim with multiple gigs of classic hip-hop, the thief soon discovered that 'Fest's ENTIRE upcoming album "El Che" was also loaded on the player! And of course, this cat has since decided to hold the unreleaed music as ransom, threatening to leak the whole album track by track until Fest or his label announce an official release date, or even drop a single/video for the project. Apparently the kid is some kind of crazed fan that just wants to see Fest get his props and/or his music heard. You can read the entire "ransom note" and Rhymefest's response by clicking here. They are all extremely hot tracks and feature production from Jazzy Jeff, Premo, and some 16's from Jadakiss & Chamillionaire respectively. I find this whole situation histerical and just another sign of the times and the lengths some people will go to just to get their 15 minutes. But then again...if it means good new music for me to hear...then let the iPod thieving continue!!!
