As expected, here's LL's first and quite possibly last official mixtape release "The Return Of The G.O.A.T.". After almost 20 years in the game, Mr. Smith began working with DJ Kay Slay a few months back to "take it back to the hood" and return to the street sound that drove his early music. I just gave the tape a quick run through, and it's clear that LL hasn't lost a step and is still more than capable of going in on a gritty beat better than most emcees half his age. "Return of the G.O.A.T." features LL rhyming over a string of recent hits and a few original tracks as well including guest spots from Sheek Louch, Papoose, Lil' Mo, Grafh + more. Dude's new album "Exit 13" will be hitting stores on July 18th and it's widely rumored to be his final album.
