As y'all know, I'm a big fan of D.C. rapper Wale and highlighted him in my "Best Kept Secret" series a few months back. I know that more than a few of you have been checking for dude ever since, and I got some good news...he's FINALLY signed a deal with a major label. Unfortunately, the details on exactly which label he signed with is still unclear. But he told Just Blaze during an AIM convo he plans on revealing the specifics tonight on a D.C. area radio station, so stay tuned for the announcement later on. I also got my hands on the final version of the track I hit y'all with a week or two ago labeled as "Go Mode" featuring Bun B. Well, the final version is now called "Back In The Go-Go" and also features a verse from none other than Neighborhood Push...aka Pusha T of The Clipse!! Needless to say, all three emcees straight body the track + the cuts and scratched hook just brings it to a whole other level. If this is what we can expect from Wale's debut album...dude could be a serious problem this year.

Wale ft. Bun B + Pusha T - Back In The Go-Go

Check back later tonight or tomorrow morning for details on Wale's new deal + an update on his upcoming project "The Mixtape About Nothing".

Yo, great post on Wale... been a fan of his for years, and I'm happy to see he's finally getting his shine...

I actually spoke to a member of a go-go band that he's affiliated with and found out where he signed. Major news.... check out my blog and show some love: http://illvibes-dmv.blogspot.com

I did a piece on him not too long ago.
