Damn...I can't stay away from this fuckin place. I decided to take a quick break from writing my paper and bless y'all with some new heat. But before I do, I just wanna thank everyone for your comments, well wishes and prayers..it's greatly appreciated. My sister had her surgery yesterday, and even though it took an extra hour than expected, everything went well. She's recovering comfortably in the hospital now thanks to a morphine drip in full effect (I'm jealous). But in all seriousness, thanks again for the kind words...Now lets get into a run-down of the tracks...
We start off with some new fire from Twista called "Aint On Shit" produced by...Alchemist? I know it doesn't seem like their styles would mesh well...but they came up with an ill track. We also got a bonus track from "The Cool" that you can find exclusively on the Circuit City version of the album. It's called "Blackout" and is Lupe is on some futuristic sounding Timbaland/Timberlake tip. Solid track, but I definitely can see why it wasn't on the album. Next up we got a hot freestyle from Fab over 'Roc Boys'. Does anyone else miss the days of him ripping apart freestyles on Clue's tapes every few weeks?? Matter of fact I have a MP3 cd somewhere of like 50 something Fabolous flows from those late 90's/early 00 mixtapes...I gotta find that shit ASAP. I had to throw in a radio rip of Rhymefest's new Premier produced track "Real Nigga Quotes". I'm DYING for a CD quality version to leak because the track is sounding ill. It's a damn shame so many people sleep on Rhymefest, he's a crazy talented cat and continues to put out quality, intelligent hip hop. If you haven't, go out and check out his debut album "Blue Collar"...you will not be disappointed. In fact, I may have to write a little article on dude to put y'all on. Finally, I threw in some new R&B from Badu & 9th Wonder, a new single from Murs.
