On the heels of the release of a bunch of new Rakim tracks, we got word that a new live album was scheduled to drop in early March. Sure enough, the full joint just came through the wire. Rakim's "The Archive: Live, Lost & Found" is a live recording filled with the legend's classic cuts spanning his 20+ year career in hip-hop. From Paid In Full to Guess Who's Back and My Melody to Mahogany, all the essentials are here including four previously unreleased cuts that kick off the album: "Hip Hop", "It's Nothing", "Love 4 Sale", & "Word On The Street". Although it's not the new album that everyone's been patiently waiting for since '99, it's better than nothing...and this fan is more than satisfied...for now.
