There's been numerous reports over the past several weeks that West Coast singer Nate Dogg had suffered a heart attack over the holidays. Although I saw the story reported by a bunch of different news outlets, I decided not to hit y'all with the news just because the sources it stemmed from were questionable at best, and no one from Nate's camp had ever confirmed the rumor. In the past few days however, the news has been confirmed...and it was corrected that Nate in fact suffered a major stroke, not a heart attack. After TMZ.com released the audio tape of the 911 call from Nate's girlfriend reporting the incident, MTV News soon reported that he in fact has suffered a stroke and it has left the left side of his body paralyzed. Fortunately, he suffered no brain damage, his voice has not been affected, and doctors are optimistic that he'll make a complete recovery. Of course there are no guarantees, but considering he's still fairly young, chances are good that he'll be able to recover. I for one hope that Nate makes a quick and full recovery and is back in the studio churning out some hits sooner than later and reclaims his spot as the hook king, knocking that robot T-Pain straight off the top of the charts.
