I must confess, I still can't believe how big of a star John Legend has turned out to be. It's funny just because I remember back in like '03, before even Kanye's career really started to pop off, 'Ye came and performed at a local college around my way. He was just starting to gain some exposure as a solo artist with "Through The Wire" & "Slow Jamz" starting to get some burn and College Dropout hadn't even hit stores yet. Of course even back then I was on top of my game and already had the advance copy of Dropout and knew 'Ye was about to make some serious noise in the game. So me and a few of my boys ended up copping tickets....for 10 dollars. And we ended up seeing not only Kanye tear up his set, but little ole unknown John Legend sitting in the corner of the stage with his little keyboard and little microphone ripping shit up + damn near stealing the show from Kanye. Long story short, the concert was incredible and to this day is one of the best I've ever seen, and only cost 10 bucks!! I mean if we fast forward a few years and a few hits later, I'd now have to pay $50+ to see JUST Kanye in concert and another $50 to see JUST Legend! It's just crazy to see how far both have come in such a short amount time, and just how lucky I was to realize their potential and talent before anyone else really caught on. Were any of you ever up on an artist early on in their career and get to see them perform before they really hit it big??? Leave a comment and let me know.
But anyway enough with story-time...this right here is a live album that Legend recorded in Philadelphia last year and it was released this week exclusively in Target stores across the country. The album was ripped as one full track for some strange reason, but luckily somebody split and separated the tracks for our listening pleasure. Enjoy!

I remember when I was in college our homecoming act was Wyclef Jean, he brought these chick with him called Destiny's child...go figure! I thought they were okay, but it's really a trip when I think back on that performance and then see what they've become today!
This live album it's really nice, really emotional permance.
Hey J.V., i don't want to be boring, but did you re-uped the wiz khalifa "show and prove" album?? I want that so much....
Was that the show at RIC? standing room only. I think I paid 15, and miri ben ari was there too? Unless you are talking about a prior show.
I got another live album of John Legend, dude is a great performer. I havent had a chance to check him out live yet...but when I was younger I can remember seeing Boys II Men and Jodeci before they blew up, back in their " doom doom doom da da, and forever my lady " days, lol..but their performance was off the chain then also. Its a shame that neither group is around anymore in the big lights.
He Came To Brazil(yeah, i'm from brazil), but i didn't know it and missed it! and was free!! damn! ¬¬
