To all my fellow Little Brother fans, here's a little something something from the crew to add to your music collection. Over the course of 12 days starting in late December, over on LB's MySpace page, they decided to give back to their devoted fans by dropping a blog every day complete with the story behind each track of their latest album GetBack. In addition to the inside info, they also put up an alternate mix of every track from the album up for download. The new mixes range from alternative verses, different mixes, beat changes, outtakes and other never-before-heard audio from their studio sessions. As a fan, it's a nice opportunity to look into the creative process of the Justus League members. Unfortunately for those not in the know, each alternate mix was only up to download for 24 hours before being lost forever. Thankfully though, Phonte had a change of heart and on day twelve, re-posted a compilation of all the tracks to download, and of course I got it for y'all to peep. Although this compilation likely won't be appreciated outside of the community of die-hard Little Brother fans, it still is worth a listen or two if you liked the album, or as a supplement while reading the series of blogs and video interviews with the emcees & producers about the making of the album.
