If y'all haven't heard of Termanology it's time to wake the fuck up. The Massachusetts bred, Latin MC has been around for a few years on the underground level but really started making noise in 2006 with the smash "Watch How It Go Down" produced by the legendary DJ Premier. I remember the night I heard the track for the first time and recall throwin it on repeat for literally an hour straight. I couldn't believe that Premier had laced this unknown with his best beat in like 5 years...plus the kid had sick lyrics and an even sicker flow. Just when I thought vintage NY hip hop was dead and gone this kid came along and made me believe again.
I soon discovered that I wasn't alone and "Watch How It Go Down" became a certified street anthem and Termanology began getting noticed beyond the underground. In addition to the DJ Premier co-sign, Statik Selectah & Clinton Sparks began working with Term on some mixtapes to introduce him to the mainstream. When all was said and done "Hood Politics IV & V" were released in 2006 & 2007. But unlike most mixtapes, they featured all original songs complete with high profile guest spots from Mobb Deep, Nas, M.O.P., Papoose, & Canibus which further established Termanology as a legitimate force in the game.
Since releasing "Hood Politics V" in August, Termanology has been hard at work crafting his full-length, still untitled debut album to be released sometime in 2008. He just released a video for the potential first single "So Amazing" which is yet another banger produced by DJ Premier. You can check out the video below, plus I got downloads to both of his Hood Politics mixtapes + you can stream some joints below to get a taste of what he brings to the table.
