If you ask me...Lupe Fiasco is the best lyricist in the game today. It's really unfortunate that his last album "Food & Liquor" didn't sell more than it did. I guess hip-hop wasn't ready for an nerdy black skateboarder with glasses? Well it's gonna be the revenge of the nerd this November when the Chicago bred MC drops his 2nd album "The Cool". He has said in interviews that it will be a concept record following the life & death of a character Lupe introduced in the song "The Cool" off his debut album. There are also rumors that Lupe is trying to round up the original members of Pink Floyd to appear on a song for the record. In addition, there is talk that his next project will be a group album with Pharrell Williams & Kanye West. The trio recorded a song as "CRS" (Child Rebel Soldiers) that was released on Kanye's "Can't Tell Me Nothin" mixtape earlier this spring. Personally, "The Cool" is one of my most anticipated releases this year and from what I've heard so far...it's shaping up to be crazy!
