Little Brother's new album "Getback" was scheduled to be released by ABB records on September 25th, but for some unknown reason it was pushed back to October 23rd. LB member Phonte announced the disappointing news via his Myspace blog late last week. However, he returned this week with a surprise for fans...an exclusive sampler with previews of 7 tracks off the album.
Even though it's just a bunch of short snippets....I can safely say that the new material sounds in-fuckin-credible. A lot of die-hard fans wrote them off after they parted ways with longtime producer 9th Wonder earlier this year. Even though I am a big fan of 9th, I refused to make any judgments until I heard some new material...and I'm glad I didn't. This shit is sounding thorough as hell. I'm definitely looking forward to hearing the whole album.
Here's the track order of the MP3 file...mixed by DJ Flash.
a. ExtraHard
b. Breakin My Heart (feat. Lil Wayne)
c. That Ain't Love (feat. Jozeemo)
d. Uncle Mike's Dedication
e. Step It Up (feat. Dion)
f. Sirens (feat. Carlitta Durand)
g. Good Clothes (1st Single)

shit is legit. def a different sound from the listening and the minstrel show. it just shows the versatility of LB. to be honest, i feel the other producers (illmind, mike, etc...) are sounding better on this album than 9th is. just sayin, but LB is def steppin their game up. 1
