Hmmmm. I'm not really sure how rare this is, but I just was checking out the Chi-town-centric blog Fake Shore Drive and stumbled upon a sweet little post that featured Common's original demo tape! According to the site, the tape was put together circa 1991/1992 and features seven previously unreleased tracks that were submitted to The Source way back then. Ultimately the demo was well received and landed Common Sense as a featured artist in the magazine's coveted "Unsigned Hype" column and ultimately led to dude linking up with famed Chicago producer No ID & dropping his debut "Can I Borrow A Dollar" and from there...well you know what happened.
