Soooo your boy had the pleasure to chop it up for a few with Statik Selektah at that Termanology release party this past weekend, and I gotta say, dude was real cool and humble...which believe me...doesn't happen often in hip-hop. While Statik jumped on the 1's and 2's sporadically throughout the night to spin some old school classics, he also sprinkled in a few cuts from his upcoming album "Stick 2 The Script" and every joint he threw on sounded crazy!!! When I ran into him by the bar towards the end of the show I told dude that "Spell My Name Right" was one of the best compilations I've heard in years, and after he gave me daps he leaned in and said that this new joint not only has a better guest lineup in his eyes, but explained that he's been putting in some serious work in the lab and claimed that his production has improved drastically since the last album. I also shamelessly plugged the Undaground toward the end of our convo and he offered to do some drops and even hit me with an exclusive track or two in the next few weeks...so we traded emails and you best believe some D.U. x Statik Selektah exclusives are already in the works!!!
So until then, you guys are gonna have to deal with a few non-exclusive, leaked tracks along with the cover art + final tracklisting for "Stick 2 The Script". After looking over the tracklist, you may be a little skeptical about his claims that the guest lineup is better than the first, but believe you me...after actually HEARING some of those joints, there very well may be some legitimacy to his claims. But then again...JV did consume many Heinekens & shots of SoCo throughout the show haha...so I guess we'll find out together when it drops on October 21st.
