As promised, here's an exclusive first look at the debut album from The Re-Up Gang. I hit y'all with the streaming sampler the other night, and now I have the full length, cd quality advance to share. It's essentially the exact version that will be found in stores next Tuesday but has yet to be "officially" recognized as the retail version. So this should be able to hold y'all over until the final release makes it way onto the 'net this weekend. I honestly haven't even had a chance to even give this a solid listen since my internet connection is still down and out. But I have seen a bunch of negative feedback so far. From what I've gathered...it's largely thanks to the fact that all four members recycled a bunch of verses from the "We Got It 4 Cheap" tapes and to make matters worse, they also included some old tracks on the album, which is rediculoso considering it's only 13 tracks long to begin with! Now I don't want to jump to any conclusions without hearing anything myself...but my expectations have taken a serious hit after hearing that news. Oh well. Let me know what y'all think after you give it a spin....
