It's really great to see Wale getting the props he deserves from coast to coast! It's funny because I remember plenty of heads saying that dude was just a local artist riding with that DC/Go-Go scene too hard and was never gonna make any noise on a national level. Here we are just a few short years later and Wale is getting cosigns from plenty of big names, got a deal with Interscope, and is one hit away from having the game on smash. Riding high off the success of "The Mixtape About Nothin", Wale has been working on the album and collaborating with a wide range of artists. As you can see in the video below, dude was out in LA choppin' it up with Travis Barker and laid down a verse for Barker's upcoming solo album. In return, Travis took out the sticks (no homo) and recorded the drums for a Sean C & LV produced track off Wale's album. On the opposite coast, dude also recently linked up with them Philly boys; Freeway, Beanie Sigel, + Young Chris and the result was the new track "Cyphr" which you can check out, along with the studio footage with Barker below...
Keep it locked here at the DU for more on Wale's new album as soon as I hear it...
