In my quest to make The Undaground one of the premiere hip-hop blogs on the 'net, I've been trying to keep the content as unique as possible to set this place apart from the millions of other blogs while still delivering the essential daily leaks. So with that in mind, I'm always toying with new features to deliver to y'all and have decided to introduce a new one tonight....The Mixtape Rewind.

Just like "Digital Crate Diggin" features me dipping into some older, rare or under-appreciated albums, "The Mixtape Rewind" will be a regular feature that will highlight some old school classic mixtapes from the golden age of tapes...ya know...back when the mixtape game was THE place to hear the latest new music and exclusive freestyles from your favorite artists. Before artists really started to use the Internet...dudes like DJ Clue, Funk Flex, DJ Doo Wop, Big Mike, Tony Touch, Kay Slay, Ron C, Mista Cee, Clinton Sparks, DJ Envy, J-Love and dozens of other DJs were the only sources of new music and delivered nothing but exclusives on their tapes to us hip-hop heads. So for this feature, I'll be digging into my extensive private collection of vintage mixtapes starting with the cassettes of the mid-late 90's all the way into the shitty burnt CD-R's of the early 2000's, and hit y'all with nothing but vintage tapes from all the hottest DJs & artists in the game.
