Those lyrics couldn't be any more true after my near brush with death a few hours ago. After a long ass day, I was finally driving home in the rain from my DJing gig and about 10 minutes away from my crib, I noticed that there was a cop car pulled over in the left lane of the highway, the same lane I was in. I didn't notice it right away because of the fog and rain so I had to slow down and try switching into the middle lane. There wasn't an opening right away so I was virtually stopped trying to get over, and just as I get an opening and start moving right....I catch an Acura maneuvering around me into the left lane pushing at least 40-45mph. Dude was going fast enough and was close enough to make my car shake as he brushed past me, and he clearly didn't notice the police car in the middle of the lane. So next thing I see as I'm driving parallel next to the cop, is this Acura SMASH into the cop...and when I say smash...I mean no brakes...30-40 mph...SMASH into this motherfucker. So as I'm driving past, I literally see the cars crunch up like two accordians and the cop's whole body ricochet off the steering wheel in real time...like I was Scorsese directing a goddamn movie or some shit. Needless to say...I started bugging the fuck out and thanking god that I wasn't a few more inches left, or hesitated to switch lanes, or driving slower as all the "what ifs" started filtering through my head. It's almost 3 AM and I'm still pretty shook up from the whole experience. I mean, anyone who knows me personally can attest that I'm far from religious or spiritual...but it's experiences like these that really make me believe in fate. It's kinda like Joey says later in the track...

"I just walk out the door and leave it in God's hands
If I go...it's just part of God's plan"

I'm not exactly sure what I'm getting at here...but it's late and I'm bored...so take it for what it's worth...it is what it is.
