After all the rumors and stories that surfaced 'bout the bad blood between the Philly brothers formerly known as State Property...I don't think anyone really expected the whole crew to reform again. I mean, I half expected a few of them to maybe collab on a few tracks, but shit...who coulda predicted all seven members choppin it up and recording some new music in 2008? So you could imagine the response when the new track "Ocean's 7" leaked outta nowhere this past weekend. The track features Sparks, Oschino, Peedi Crakk, Freeway, Beanie Sigel, & Young Chris rippin up a grimey rapid-fire beat one after another like it was still 2002. It's funny too...cause after I posted that Hot 97 freestyle session last week, I was thinkin' bout how much of a shame it was that they haven't put out any new music as a group in almost 5 years. Lets just hope this just isn't a one time deal and is just the beginning of State Prop's second wind.

State Property - Ocean's 7

Oh and I don't know if y'all have heard, but Beanie Sigel was just sentenced to three months back in the pen for violating his supervised release stemming from his 1 year bid in 2004. Apparently he was submitting piss to his P.O. from someone other than himself, which they picked up on, and when he was tested 5 more times in the weeks after, he tested positive for both Xanax & Percocet. This didn't sit well with the judge, and he was forced to immediately re-enter prison for 3 months + they also tacked on an additional year of supervised release once he's released. When the judge asked about his drug use, Beans admitted that's a recovering addict and relapsed due to financial issues stemming from his inability to travel & perform across the country because of the restrictions and conditions of his parole. He told the judge that is his main source of income, as he only makes a mere 15 cents per record sold.

I can't help but feel bad for dude...but on the other hand, he's had multiple chances to clean his act up + start acting like a responsible grown man. Shit...Jigga & Dame took him under their wing almost 10 years ago now and put him in a position to get up out the streets and make some money off this rap shit. It's an opportunity millions of people would kill for, yet dude still acts like a teenager at 35 fuckin' years old. So with that in mind, I really can't blame the judge for bustin his balls...cause he just don't learn.

But considering that Beans stays being Public Enemy #1...Here's the tape of the same name he did with Green Lantern back in 2004. If you never peeped this tape...don't let it slip past you twice...this shit is a certified street classic and hasn't left the CD book in my whip since it dropped. Real talk.
