It was revealed by the Houston Chronicle today that an L.A. coroner has officially ruled Pimp C's death an accident. The Texas rapper and member of U.G.K. overdosed on prescription cough syrup containing Promethazine/Codeine which combined with his pre-existing sleep apnea ultimately led to his death on December 4th, 2007. He is yet another to fall victim to the chronic abuse of cough syrup or lean, following others including Southern pioneer DJ Screw, and most recently rapper Big Moe.
