There's some rumors floating around that Eminem has quietly been recording and preparing a new album to be released late this Spring. For at least a year, there have been reports that his final album will be called "The King Mathers LP" and supposedly feature Em returning to the roots of his first two albums which featured his alter-egos Slim Shady & Marshall Mathers. There have been no confirmed reports or sources yet, but today a mysterious website went up at www.kingmathers.com featuring a lone graphic with the writing: "Eminem - King Mathers" March 4th, 2008". I don't know how legit it is, but someone pointed it out at another forum I frequent and decided to pass the rumor along to y'all.

I don't know how to take the rumors...You always hear "oh so and so is gonna go back to their roots with the new album" it's just a way to build hype and start the rumors up. I was a huge Eminem fan when I was in middle school, but after he dropped 8 Mile, his music went downhill...fast. The last few albums have been very disappointing and his once polished lyricism and flow suddenly vanished and replaced fart noises, juvenile wordplay and a fast, unintelligible flow. If he is about to stage a comeback...I hope to god he's back on that Slim Shady tip. God knows he's gone through some tough times lately with the death of Proof, addiction to sleeping pills, rumored weight gain and health problems, and divorce from Kim...again.

Anyway...take the rumor for exactly what it is...a rumor. And I'll keep y'all posted on any info or news as soon as I hear it. Will you guys be checking for a new Eminem album?
