Prepare yourselves...Pete Rock is back. In 2008, PR will release his first studio album since 2004's "Soul Survivor 2". The new album will be called "NY's Finest" and will feature a compilation of new tracks produced by Pete featuring some of the finest emcees in New York. Like his previous releases, Pete will be rhyming on some tracks, but mostly leaves the rhyming to artists like: Jim Jones, Styles, Redman, Masta Ace, Phonte, Raekwon, Ghostface, Papoose and more. The album is scheduled to be released sometime in February, and you can peep the official cover above. Pete Rock ft. Masta Ace, Wordsworth, Phonte & Joe Scudda - Bring Y'all Back (Radio Rip)

After listening to all four tracks...I gotta say, I'm actually impressed with that Jones track above everything else. He really stepped it up with PR on the boards. I gotta say though..I'm pissed that Slum Village's "Gangsta Boogie" didn't make the album's final cut. It leaked a few months back and is absolute fire. In fact...check it out for yourselves...
