Anyone who knows me can testify I am a huggggge Joe Budden fan...fuck it...a stan even...I'm not ashamed. I've gotten countless crazy looks when I tell people he's the best rapper alive (fuck a Weezy). I always get the typical "You're talking about JOE BUDDEN? The "Pump It Up" dude? The same guy who's last album came out in 2003?". Then I burn them a copy of Mood Muzik 2...and watch the same people run back raving about dude and thanking me for putting them on. The raw emotion, depth, and realness in Joe's music is undeniable to any fan of REAL hip hop. Unfortunately, he's been held back and pigeonholed by the new regime over at Def Jam for too long and wasn't able to properly showcase his true talent. However, last week an announcement was made that Joe was finally released from his Def Jam contract and is free to find a new home without any limitations or stipulations.
Since the announcement, Joey has been all over the place...doing interviews, updating his website with news, and appearing on a bunch of radio shows. You can hear the excitement in his voice, his hunger to get back on the scene and finally prove the nay-sayers wrong. Last night he appeared on DJ Kay Slay's "Drama Hour" on Sirius and not only previewed 5 tracks off of the much anticipated "Mood Muzik 3" mixtape but also announced December 11th as the official release date of the project. Jumpoff also added that he's gotten multiple offers from both independent & major labels and promised he'll have a new home by February '08 & an album by Fall of next year.
Here's the tracks from MM3 that were previewed last night + a link to Mood Muzik 2 for everyone who's not up on the best rapper alive.

First off...thanks for the comments guys...I encourage all feedback good or bad...even though I see the hits gettin registered, it's much more rewarding to get some actual feedback.
Now, regarding the Weezy comment...You are right about people riding the "Fuck Wayne" train but on the flip alotta people are on the "Weezy is the GOAT" tip right now. There doesn't seem to be a lot of middle ground at all. You're also 100% correct that I've praised Wayne recently but I do not feel he's the best rapper alive. I didn't mean to be harsh...it was in the heat of the moment, and the fact is, I've been waiting patiently for years for Joe to get the proper chance he deserves and the recent events have me deservedly hyped.
So, true...it may have sounded bad on the surface, but I wasn't in any way putting down Wayne's skills. Truth is, I've been a fan since Carter 2, but I think there are at least a handful of MC's who are better right now. But in the same context you mentioned...I think a lot of the younger fans are saying Weezy's the GOAT just because it's the popular thing to say. The funny thing is, he's developed this huge cult following over the past year and a half, and he hasn't even released an album in that time! How can someone really be the greatest alive by just putting out freestyles over other people's beats and features? I mean you can be up there...but not #1...at least that's the way I see it.
can you re-up that mm2 nodj please!!!
