As y'all know I promised a major announcement earlier this week, and although it's taken a few days longer than expected, I'm finally here to hit y'all with the good news...

Over the next few weeks, there's going to be some major changes taking place here at the Digital Undaground. I'm going to begin offering more exclusive content and features in hopes of turning this site into one of the elite hip-hop blogs on the internet. The Undaground will be getting a complete overhaul from the bottom up which will hopefully attract more traffic and result in a better experience for everyone.

Here's a few of the changes you can expect over the next few weeks...

->I just purchased www.DigitalUndaground.com, and we will be moving the site to that URL very soon. In addition to the move, I will be debuting a fresh new look and design. The result should be a more visually attractive layout and feature some better graphics than the bare bones template we're working with now.

-> I'll also be debuting some new features and sections on the site. I'm in talks with another DJ about creating a new section exclusively for DJ's and Producers offering acapellas/instrumentals/promos and more. I'm also considering a section where y'all could make requests and easily share music along with a bunch of other features. If anyone has any suggestions about what y'all would like to see added to the site...leave a comment or drop me an email at JohnVega@tmail.com and let me know. I'm interested in your input.

And Finally....

-> It's been a long time coming...but your boy JV aka DJ Johnny Vega will FINALLY be making a return to the mixtape game. It's been over a year and a half since I dropped my last mixtape, but the time has come to dust off the 1's & 2's and start doing the damn thing. I know many of you just know me as a little ole blogger, but you'll recognize what's up when I hit y'all with the new shit.

With that being said...I'll soon begin recording a live mixshow/podcast/mixtape every few weeks which will feature the hottest new hip-hop tracks, freestyles, classic throwback joints, and my signature blends & remixes. Each tape will be released exclusively here at The Digital Undaground as a FREE download. Don't get it twisted neither...when I say mixtape...I aint talking bout just throwing a bunch of new shit in a folder with no rhyme or reason like some of these other wannabe "DJs"...I'll actually be mixing/fading/scratching from front to back like it should be done. The shows will be heavy on that raw, real hip-hop...and wont feature many mainstream/radio friendly tracks. I've already recorded the first half of the show, and will record the second half this weekend. The tape will be released as soon as we make the move to the new site.

Oh and for everyone who's a fan of my signature "party mixtapes" featuring the hottest mainstream hip-hop/R&B blends (Summer Daze 1&2, The Fastlane, & Droppin' Science)...I'm also planning to release two tapes this year. The first is still untitled and will drop in April and I'll be carrying on the tradition and release "Summer Daze 3" this July. Stay tuned for more details in the next few months.
